Thanks for your interest in joining Health Super.
How to join
We've made the process as simple as possible - just follow the instructions below.
- Check with your Human Resources (HR) or payroll department to see if your employer is a registered Health Super employer.
- If they are, fill out the Join Health Super form in the Choose Health Super as your super fund brochure and return it to your Payroll Officer. Alternatively, you can let your employer know that you’d like to join Health Super and they’ll provide you with the necessary forms. If they are not registered with Health Super, they will need to register as an employer.
- Check with your HR or payroll department if you need to supply a copy of our Statement of compliance to your employer.
What happens when I join?
When we receive a contribution from your employer, an account is opened in your name. You will be sent further information about your membership, including your member number and details of any insurance and investment options that apply to you. It can take up to three months for your employer to make the first contribution, depending on their pay cycle. Once we receive this contribution, it can take up to four weeks for you to receive your Health Super membership information.
Spouse Members
If you are the spouse of a Health Super member you can also join Health Super. For Spouse members, a separate application must be completed by the Health Super member and their spouse before the spouse account can be established. Please refer to our Health Super Accumulation Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Fact Sheet: Spouse accounts for more information.
Register for eSuper
You can check your account balance online, request changes to your investment choice, register to view your annual benefit statement online, view your contributions history, update your details and more.
How to open a Pension account
A Pension account must be opened with superannuation savings in a Health Super Accumulation account. If you are not currently a Health Super member but would like to start an Accumulation account and transfer your superannuation savings from another super fund or product, refer to the 'How to join' section above.
Health Super provides two types of pension options; a Transition to Retirement (TTR) Pension for those who have reached preservation age and are looking to start a pension while still working or an Account Based Pension for those who have permanently retired.
To open a Pension account you will need to complete the application form attached to the Health Super Account Based Pension Guide or TTR Pension Guide. Please refer to the relevant guide on our Publications page for more information.
More information on the benefits of our pension products is provided on our Pensions page.
