Health Super is the industry fund for the people who care, operating in the best interests of our members within the Health and Community Services sector. We don’t pay any profits to shareholders.

We’re also a Platinum and AAA Rated fund. The Platinum rating is the highest possible recognition from SuperRatings, awarded only to the best value for money funds, while the AAA rating is the highest possible rating from Selecting Super. Here are some other reasons why Health Super is the super fund for you:

Workplace visits

Health Super's experienced account managers are available to visit your workplace. They can assist with all your general super questions in relaxed, one-on-one meetings or in group sessions. Contact us to arrange a visit.

Seminars

Investment Choice

If you don’t make an investment choice, your super is automatically invested according to our Lifecycle strategy. If you’re interested in making your own investment choice, there are nine investment options to choose from.

Low fees

At Health Super we aim to keep our fees low. You won’t pay any establishment or contribution fees, or withdrawal/termination fees.

Account-keeping fee $91.00 p.a. The Account-keeping fee is calculated pro-rata and deducted from your account annually in advance on 1 July or the date you joined Health Super.
Asset fee2
Up to 0.10% p.a.
The Asset fee (if applicable) is deducted from our assets before the calculation of investment returns.
Estimated investment managers’ fees
The investment managers' fee for each individual investment option is in the Member Guide Estimated investment managers' fees
0.15 - 1.05% pa
The investment managers’ fees are deducted from Fund assets before the monthly calculation of investment returns (and interim returns) for each of the investment options.
Service fees
Investment switching fee
The fee for changing investment options.

2.The Trustee may charge an Asset fee of up to 0.10% p.a., which is deducted from the Fund's assets before the calculation of returns for each investment option. The Asset Fee is not always applied; however the Trustee charged an Asset fee of 0.10% in the 2006/07, 2007/08 and 2008/09 financial years and allocated the proceeds to the ARA to meet expenses in accordance with our ARA policy. Example of annual fees and costs

This table gives an example of how the fees and costs in our Medium-Term Growth investment option can affect your super investment over a year. Use this table to compare this product with other super products.

Contribution fees Nil For every $5,000 you put in, you will be charged $0.
Plus Management costs 0.79% + $91 p.a. And for every $50,000 you have in the fund, you will be charged an estimated $395 each year plus $91 regardless of your balance.
Equals Cost of fund   If you put in $5,000 during a year and your balance was $50,000, then for that year you will be charged estimated fees of: $486.

1. Under Government legislation, the Medium-Term Growth (Standard) investment option is considered equivalent to the balanced investment option for this example. Management costs are based on the experience of this investment option for the year ended 30 June 2009 (0.69% Investment management fee plus the 0.10% Asset fee), and may change.
