The table below outlines the rules about which employer contributions we can accept for members of different ages. If we become aware that we have received employer contributions we cannot accept, they must be refunded within 30 days after making allowance for investment fluctuations, reasonable costs and insurance premiums.

* The Work Test states that an employee must have worked for at least 40 hours in a period of not more than 30 consecutive days at any time during the financial year in which the salary sacrifice contributions are made for them.

If you’re not a registered employer, we can still accept contributions for your employees who are Health Super members. Please use the Employer super contributions form to submit your contribution data to us. We will then transfer the information to your employees' accounts.
To help us process your employees’ contributions faster, and ensure that contribution rules applicable to the Fund are followed, please make sure the contribution payment is sent at the same time as the data file.

If any of this information is not supplied when you submit contributions, we may not be able to accept the contribution and will contact your payroll or human resources department for verification of your employee’s personal details. Contributions may be held in a separate cash account (or trust) until they can be allocated to a member account or returned to you (with no interest). In some circumstances the contributions can be paid to the ATO as unclaimed money.
